Alright this is more for you guys who didn't attend last year and want an idea of what you may need or want to take to this event. I'll start it working from your body outward.
-BODY-
Hydration. Plain and simple you should start drinking lots of water at least two or three days before hand.
Stamina. This one is more of a personal choice. After a 02:30 frago after 14+ hours of airsoft that required us to sprint almost a mile in the dark last year. I have decided that I would like to be more prepared for such situations and I'm going to start running with the added wait of my NCPC.
GOLD BOND powder. This shit is essential. Cover you feet and your strange with this stuff. You will thank me later
BOXER BRIEFS. Hands down the best option for an under garment that with help prevent chafing.
Socks. You will be in the field for 24hrs, bring at least 1 extra pair if not 2. It will be late spring you count on your feet being wet from sweat and rain.
-UNIFORM-
Combat set. be sure you have the proper color uniform. Be sure to wash it before hand.
Foot wear. Either a quality comfortable pair of combat or hiking boots. Be sure they have been broken in before hand. (ask puggy if you don't believe me)
Face protection. Be sure to have some sort of available lower face protection be it soft or hard. Engagement distances can be very close in the AO and a busted tooth can end the fun pretty fast.
Goggles. This is a given.
Ear protection. This is personal choice. Exploding granades are very loud in cinder block buildings.
Gloves. a good quality pair of gloves is essential.
-HEAD GEAR-
Helmet. I highly recommend wearing a high quality helmet for this event as we will be crawling through windows and tunnels.
-2nd LINE-
Plate carrier. On your plate carrier you should carry the following.
-hydration. some form of camelback.
-Mags. carry as many mags as needed to stay in the fight for as long as possible.
-Dead rag and dead light
-Comms. a radio to stay in touch with the squad
-Snacks
-A place to carry grenades.
-simple first aid items
-extra ammo
-multi tool
-WEAPONS-
Primary weapon system.Have a primary weapon and at least 1 backup primary weapon. Be sure that all of your magazines function in both weapon systems
-several batteries/gas
-Weapon light. This is a necessity even during the day as there will be some areas that are near darkness even at noon. bring extra batteries.
-Laser and tracer unit for added fun at night.
Secondary. be sure to have a reliable side arm with extra mags and gas.
-sturdy holster.
-weapon light if possible.
NVG's if possible.
-extra batteries
If I have forgotten anything feel free to chime in and I will add it to the list.
